Sr Manager ( Technical Program Manager ) - Android

Airtel XStream is a high visibility product category for Airtel targeting premium customers.  This position will be responsible for both

• The development of our next generation XSstream boxes, working closely with product management to define , develop , validate and launch new devices
• Refresh of in-market devices, working closely Wynk and other engineering teams

In addition to owning the overall project management function for Android devices, the candidate will be responsible for all Android platform development/QA activities on Android boxes and  lead an Android platform QA team 

The ideal candidate

1. 1. is a currently a technical project manager or a dev/QA lead with deep expertise in Android device development ( ideally for STBs) who would like to move into a technical project manager role owning full product life cycle E2E
   2. Is organized,   process oriented and is able to define , manage and deliver product requirements
   3. Has excellent presentation skills,  regular updates to stakeholders on project status is a key responsibility of this position

Preferred Skills:

1. 1. Android Device development on set top boxes and/or phones  ( Set top box preferred )
   2. Good understanding of Android Platform – System Server , Android Boot optimizations, Android Multimedia subsystems for both audio , video and display
   3. Good understanding of using android tools like adb, systrace etc.
   4. Good understanding/expertise with Android test automation frameworks like UI automator/Espresso etc.
   5. Good understanding/hands on knowledge  of Google certification process and tests ( CTS, GTS, VTS, CTS Verifier etc. )
