Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in product management in the tech field.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed teams and working with cross-functional partners.

About the job

AI, and multi-modal Large Language Models in particular, will accelerate users ability to easily consume, create and complete tasks through fundamentally new interaction models like β€œCircle to Search”. As these new interaction models become more pervasive, they will have a profound effect on the Android application model and underlying Android operating system which powers phones, tablets, laptops, watches, cars, TVs, and more.

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the transformation of the Android Multi-device Core OS toward an AI-driven future and as a key senior leader you may be asked to take on other critical and ambiguous challenges in Android.

While this role is initially an individual contributor role, you may also be asked to take on management responsibilities in the future.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work with AI thought leaders across Android, Platform and Devices, DeepMind, and external partners to regularly refine the strategy for AI on the Android core platform.
  • Develop and evolve the multi-year northstar and roadmap for AI on the Android core platform through deep understanding of user, developer and OEM needs, and their intersection with the capabilities and limitations of AI on Android now and in the future.
  • Inspire all end-to-end stakeholders to land the roadmap with high velocity by listening intently to feedback, evolving the strategy, roadmap, and narrative as needed.
  • Go deep in details without getting stuck in them to make critical decisions quickly to ensure maximal velocity.
  • Be a servant leader to the team by providing inspiring vision and leadership, taking on roles to fill gaps, and helping the team achieve shared success.
