Your Responsibilities
  • Support 7Mind in our purpose to make the world a more mindful place
  • Maintain and implement new features in a fully reactive and well-tested Kotlin codebase
  • Implement accessible user experiences
  • Learn and apply modern Android development patterns like MVVM, unidirectional data flow (Redux), reactive streams (RxJava)
  • Own the full app development lifecycle from architectural decisions to release and app monitoring
  • Work closely with our iOS, product, backend and design teams
  • Work with modern, industry-leading tools such as Linear, GitHub, and Notion

Must-Haves
  • Experience in writing maintainable code, preferably in Kotlin
  • Experience in maintaining production Android apps
  • Understanding of reactive streams, preferably RxJava
  • Strong proficiency in testing (the codebase is almost completely covered by unit tests)
  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
  • Last but not least, a learning mindset

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team
  • Experience working remotely (asynchronous communication is big in the Android team)
  • Involvement in the Android community
  • Knowledge of Redux-based architectures
  • Hands-on experience with SQLite on Android (Room)
  • Experience in audio playback on Android (ExoPlayer)
  • Implementing and maintaining accessible UIs
  • Has experienced an agency-like (client-based) and an in-house work environment
  • Doesn't mind being a generalist sometimes and enjoys thinking about topics around product development
