We’re looking for a driven Android engineer who cares deeply about their craft, and who wants to use their skills to bring about positive change in the world while working in a high-performing organization using modern software development approaches. Someone who is comfortable in the rapidly changing nature of a startup environment but also adept at moving relentlessly forward: doing what needs to be done to unblock projects that truly deliver value to our users. Responsibilities:
  • Product Engineer - Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to craft top-notch experiences in our Android application and also seize opportunities to stay on your edge and stretch beyond mobile engineering to get the job done.
  • Lean and Agile Owner - Collaborate with cross functional teams to distill and synthesize requirements into discreet and meaningful iterations that can be implemented quickly to facilitate tight feedback loops and learning via data and metrics.  Leverage Lean Startup and Agile methodologies along with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment infrastructure to rapidly prototype and validate ideas.
  • Quality Maintainer - Build a scalable and stable application architecture using modern patterns to deliver a first-class mobile product. Follow automated testing best practices to enable us to move quickly without breaking things.

If you have some or all of the following please apply:
  • 5+ years of experience building native Android applications, including time spent at a startup
  • Strong and up-to-date grasp of Kotlin, Java, and the Android SDK
  • Strong grasp of UI design patterns and passion for delightful user experiences
  • Experience with automated testing (unit testing, integration testing, UATs)
  • Successful history of working as part of a remote team
  • Strong verbal and written communication, a high level of integrity and a passion for collaboration
