As Bosch eBike we are on a daring mission to build the first connected biking platform with an entirely new breed of products and services on top of it – all designed to drive digital business at Bosch eBike and the future of biking.
 
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer for our Digital Business team to work on our eBike Flow Android app. You will be part of one of our interdisciplinary Scrum teams with international people, working distributed from several Bosch locations or home.


Where your expertise is needed


  • Design and build advanced app functionalities for the Android platform
  • Write test code (especially Unit Tests) to ensure robustness, improve usability and performance
  • Create something new: You will be part of the future of biking and help create outstanding mobile offering.
  • Help shape the future: You bring in your ideas to define the mobility of the future and turn these ideas into reality.
  • Take responsibility: You take ownership of your developed modules and aim for a continuous improvement of those. You have good problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate through complex situations.
  • Experience cooperation: You collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features that cyclists love.
  • Networked communication: You will find yourself in a team of developers, designers, researchers and marketing experts who focus on building, scaling and operating high class digital services in the context of biking.
  • Structured evaluation: You continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development and testing efficiency.


Your profile


• Personality: You have a track record developing high-quality Android apps with a strong agile mindset. A passion for biking is a plus.
• Working Practice: You are self-motivated, self-organized and a team player. Agile methods and out of the box thinking is highly appreciated.
• Experience and Knowledge:
  • Full proficiency in Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding about Android SDK, knowing how to use which API to build optimal apps in terms of runtime performance and memory management.
  • You care about the quality of the code.
  • You love writing clean code while still able to understand the need of moving fast.
  • Experience with MVVM/MVP, Clean Architecture and Android Jetpack. Experience with building adaptive layouts, fluid UI animations, and custom views. Experience with writing maintainable, and readable unit tests. Ability to conduct nice, respectful, constructive yet efficient code reviews.
  • Languages: Good competence in spoken and written English. German is a plus.
  • Education: Completed University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or comparable / similar qualifications.
